The pink wisteria vine hits its peak in bloom, unfazed by a light frost we had last week which damaged many other things; surprising what was hurt by it and what wasn't.

Thank you, Lou! This vine with its heavy wood trunk grows on a strong corner of a chain link fence where one segment meets another, and spreads in all directions. It's always a challenge to photograph it without the chain links showing. Glad you like it -- the vine is a real show-stopper when it gets going!

Thank you, Eileen, I try to remember that when the flowers turn brown and fall off, and the vine gets thick and rank with new growth and has to be pruned back severely. These vines make loopy growth that hangs down, waiting to snare the unwary lawn tractor rider and drag her off her mower. LOL!

Beautiful! The beauty of it makes up for all the unpleasant characteristics of it.

Thanks, Genie! I will be able to look at this picture all year long, regardless what the vine looks like later or what the weather is doing.

Thanks for commenting, Liliane and Nita! I have a white one too, that blooms a little earlier than this one, and can be seen in some of my recent shots.
