The Milagro Beanfield War is one of my all-time favorite movies, and has my favorite movie character of all time, Amarante Cordova. On the surface, Amarante looks weak and broken down, but underneath is a quiet strength and dignity time had not yet defeated.

Amarante clip on YouTube

This particular clip reminds me of the situation here; the Coyote Angel says "Relax, amigo, relax. It's your town that's dying." The movie itself gets a little heavy on the drama, and I'll confess that I've been a little heavy on the drama here, too. Gomen. The angel also speaks of "Seeing windmills on your horizon." Granted, I feel a little like Don Quixote myself, as I know deep down, IBM doesn't care a rat's katuckus what I think, and they are going to do what they are going to do. Still, being silent, and quietly accepting whatever fate that lies in store isn't acceptable to me, either.

Therefore, I must prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and if I feel we are getting the shaft, make myself heard!(Even if no one is listening)

Milagro is Spanish for "miracle". That would be nice here, wouldn't it? :' )

Still have 14 pages to transcribe, plus a little extra work to finish, then the chapter will be about half done.

Yeah, but if you remember, the question was "What do you get when you multiply 6x8? :' )

Made a lot of progress the other night, about 10 pages of rough draft! Why can't I write like this all the time? ;' )

I was about to write a whole long thing about physical, emotional and intellectual cycles, but then I decided it was probably a rhetorical question. !o]

Progress remains slow and steady, but it is progress. Another three pages of rough draft last night, hope to get more today.

My WP sites seem to be OK, Sandi!

Going to try to do a lot of writing over the next three nights; I'm already falling behind my original schedule! :(

Hi, SD! WP is pretty easy and straightforward. If you can add pics and links to a WU blog, you can do this!

I actually owned MBW on VHS once; I think I wore it out, lol!

Hi Ylee,
HAHA. when I saw the blog title, "Milagro," I decided to drop in and ask if you'd ever seen the film, Milagro Beanfield War. lol Yes. Great film!

I love the title you have given your potential webcam wordpress blog!

I am listening. ;) Been thinking of wordpress also, just to write some thoughts... like... well, thoughts about windmills. For me, I'll wait and see what IBM do. I don't have a nice blog like yours to move, but if I did or was wanting to start a blog to write in, wordpress seems good.

WordPress is free. You could all migrate to free WordPress, follow each other, and continue WU-style conversations there. I'm just saying...

BTW, I can be found at briarcraft.wordpress.com

Here's to old, independently-owned classic WU - gone but never forgotten!
