Please, provide a way to select the classic view again, and to also choose it as my default view. When the new view first appeared, there was a selection that always appeared at the top of the page to choose "classic view" and that's what I chose - always. Today it seems to be gone and there's now no means to find classic view any more.
For those of us who find this new view junked-up, too busy, or too spread out to be convenient, how about giving us a break?

Just change the 'www' in the address bar to 'classic' and there it is!

Just can't stand the new site. Tried and tried to like it, but can't stand it. Too washed out, hard to read, and you have to scroll to see anything. Will continue to use the classic site.

You know I had to join this site to let the web developers know that this new site is absolutely horrific. If you want to fix it keep the "classic" as it was. And it's not classic, it's awesome. Way better than this drab, weepy, washed out, extremely boring and hard to navigate site. What happened? You lose some good programmer? Wow. I thought Google made a mistake.........

Thanks for that. I've been looking all over for the classic view but it has disappeared from the options.

Finally! Back to the classic view which I MUCH prefer.

Just tried doing what was suggested. I took out the www and typed in classic and I have my weather page back!!! Thanks for the tip it worked. I am so glad to have my weather page back. I can quickly scan the weather for the week and any storms coming. This is great, I am happy again. You did a really dirty deal for us you know taking our weather page during the storms and when we needed it the most then you took out the link to get to the classic view SHAME ON YOU! You could have told us how to get it back your self you know!

I've never seen a website go SO BACKWARDS so badly with it's design. It's truly horrible. It's like a 7 year old designed this choppy thing! WTF?? I've converted dozens of people to wunderground over the years... now I need to email them all to appologize. :(

Weather Underground,
If the old site is going to be around forever, please honor your long time users requests and give us a way to make the classic site the default.

Thank You.

prefer the classic look. one reason - the community weather pictures were at the top so didn't have to scroll. appreciate your wanting to update things. ditto the comment that there should be a way to make the classic view the default. thanks for the great website overall!

I stumbled upon Wunderground weather about a year ago and found it to be far superior to TWC. That is until the "New and Improved" web site was introduced. The new design is harder to navigate and doesn't show preferred information by default. That said, I could still access my beloved classic view via the classic view button on the top of the home page.

Why in the world did they remove the classic view button? Did the web designer in an attempt to bolster ratings for the new design make it difficult to use the classic page??? Perhaps the new design allows more room for advertisements?

Anyway, thanks to the advise of previous posters here, I now have my tried and true page back. Thanks a million times over!

I selected my user name in response to how impossible the new site is to use. I sent weatherunderground a message and they told me I should just bookmark all the pages from the old version. What a bunch of....well, you get the idea. Fortunately, I decided to do a search and thank you, thank you, thank you. Especially, Peaceriverbp. I am comfortable again. I am happy again. If they don't do something to screw this up I will change my name...later.

This is BAD.
Forecast for Wednesday May 25:

Old site: High 74 low 56 precip 30%
New site: High 81 low 61 precip 40%

So… which site is more accurate?
Why the inconsistency?

Does anybody at Wunderground actually look at what appears on their sites?

On the new site your setting is probably set to Bestcast, where the old site is your local NWS forecast. This was part of why the new site was created, so a forecast could be issued for all the weather stations that upload to WU. It's great if your kinda far from or on a different elevation of where the closest town's forecast is given by NWS if you or a local has a Personal Weather Station on WUnderground. Every bug isn't worked out but I'm finding it consistently doing better on my PWS forecast then NWS since the airport is much closer to the ocean & gets a better seabreeze, tending to be cooler. If the NWS forecast is better for you, change your setting on your local forecast page back to NWS.

The link was removed to classic since classic isn't being updated with the new technology. There's no links to images, sat, youtubes for various events, no bestcast, no future improvements..it's just one of another 100 past versions of WU..take a timewarp in the wayback WUmachine. Hope some of you will join us in the present when you get back..it's got everything that was in classic & then some new toys.

I wish there were a way to get a link to the Classic view in my emails. The latest with the new site is that it won't open at all!! I get "IE is unable to open the site..." and IE closes. Tried the classic site, and it's as good as ever, animated radar and all. Please don't tell us to "join us in the present" by using the new site. That's an insult. We aren't using the Classic site because we are not "in the present" but because it's a better website. We don't want "new toys," we want the *weather*! We don't want it updated with new technology because it has everything we need. Not all change is necessarily progress.

My computer was down for a week and I return to this now scattered site. This site is making me scatterbrained.
I'm off to the NWS site and to Intellicast. I'll be back if WU offers the classic page.

O.K. So someone under the age of 7 yrs old got the gig to "update" Weather underground . What a FAIL !!! As soon as "the new improved version" appeared, I found the "Classic" sight. Now it appears they are messing THAT up ! I am a paid member, that being said I will not renew and WILL NOT recommend them to friends (as in the past) I just won't support an organization that is unwilling to LISTEN !!!!!! Real Men admit their mistakes AND TAKE ACTION .I guess that those who "did the deed" on the re-do or paid for it, or voted it in are beyond access or-----JUST DON'T CARE ! I have expressed my opinion to Wunderground.com via E-Mail and received a "form" letter in return. I'M DONE WITH YOU !!!!!!

Williewells~ Are you trying to use the classic site with a new browser like chrome? Classic is trapped in time. The whole thing had to evolve to keep up with new browsers, technology (weather & otherwise). If your going to live in the past you are going to need the older browsers & such too.

I am having the same experience. If Classic is gone and I am forced to use the new design, I will not be renewing my paid membership.
