Gardening has been one of my hobbies as well as photography and just being outdoors.

It has been a while since I have typed anything here, but recent news has woke me up.
I was shocked and saddened recently when going to the Wunderphoto section to see that it is going away. It was the thing that got me involved in this site initially. It also helped me start my first blog entry. The camera was a simple Cannon point and shoot. Not very fancy, but it did not need to be at the time. I remember how strange it was to have wild ducks roaming an urban residential neighborhood.

The cameras have changed through the years (still need to get a DSLR) :-)
Ah, procrastination, one of these days I'm going to do something about that!
It is entertaining to go back through my photos , reminiscing and seeing the changes - not necessarily the subjects, but the techniques. Still photographing a health dose of sunsets, moons, clouds, insects, and other things seen in nature. Looking at the photos on this site has helped me evolve - still much to learn (and did I mention needing to get a real camera). I do it simply because I love doing it. It gives me happiness, peace, and inspiration to witness and share the beauty of nature. It is a wonderful hobby. I think everyone should have some sort of hobby, and it seems more important as we age.
Of course, I think everyone should do yoga too, but that is another subject for another time! ;-)
Still one of my favorites, the scene was unexpected and I still haven't seen anything like it. I was at my parent's house and climbed a 16 ft ladder to get the shots.
Yes, there may be other sites that have pictures and blogs, but this site is unique. Again, I am sad to see this go away. So many memories, so many stories. Now to start the process of downloading all of them. Although, my library is small compared to many others.

The roller coaster of life has gotten to me at times, and I have not been as active here as I once was. But, have never been too far away either - and that has helped. These days has me thinking of the old curse, "May you live in interesting times" Yep, I think those times are upon us! Between people, politics and the weather, it is just crazy out there!
Maybe it is a bit too soon to say so long everyone, but in case this is my last post, a big Thank You to all my fellow bloggers and photographers, you have enriched my life!
Good luck, God bless and Namaste,
