Weather in the Chupadera Mountains, New Mexico

There is some snow in the hills. Started in the late evening on the Feb 12 and is continuing through Feb 13. Once the snow starts melting the roads will be slippery again. But it sure looks nice now!

The roads in the Chupadera Mountains are in great condition. This could change if the predicted rain fall occurs on Thursday (22nd). Be careful with the driving!

Due to ISP equipment being struck by lightning, the station has not been able to report data for two days. Hoping we can upload the archived data to keep the yearly total rainfall accurate.
ISP is one again available so current data will be streaming in.

The network connection for data updates has been upgraded. This should result in more reliable data updates. A big horn sheep came by to check out the equipment on the hill top.

As of the afternoon of August 9th, the Chupaderas have not had any road damage due to rain.
Tiffany Wash and Sawmill Wash still have some damage due to a small rain two weeks ago. Take it slow and easy...
