Issued: 12:05 PM MST Nov. 15, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 5 PM Friday to 8 PM MST
Saturday...

* what... heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 8
inches below 7000 feet and over the Interstate 80 Summit with
10 to 14 over the north Laramie and snowy ranges.

* Where... higher elevations across southeastern Wyoming including
the snowy and Laramie ranges, including the foothills west of
Cheyenne and the Interstate 80 Summit.

* When... from 5 PM Friday to 8 PM MST Saturday.

* Additional details... travel could be very difficult. Patchy
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.

... Strong winds likely late tonight through Friday morning.

West southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph with occasional gusts to
near 50 mph will occur late tonight through Friday morning ahead
of an approaching cold front. Strong winds could cause some travel
problems along interstates 80.

If you are driving high profile vehicles, including light trailers
and campers, please use caution when traveling east or west bound
on Interstate 80. Strong winds may result in a loss of vehicle
control.
