Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 6:03 AM EST Jan. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

Spotty light freezing rain or drizzle, with temperatures in the
upper 20s early this morning, may cause a glaze of ice on
untreated surfaces in the upper Greenbrier valley, in Pocahontas
County. Also, pavement remains cold due to the recent cold
weather. Air and pavement temperatures should rise above freezing
by 10 am this morning.

The freezing rain and drizzle may quickly coat roadways with a
thin layer office that may be undetectable. Please use extreme
caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and around curves.
Allow plenty of stopping distance and avoid braking suddenly.
