Watches & Warnings

Special Statement
Issued: 4:09 PM CST Dec. 12, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Slippery roads possible tonight...

Hazardous driving conditions were occurring over parts of north
central, central and far northeast Wisconsin due to a combination
of snow and ice covered roads, freezing drizzle and freezing fog.

Temperatures were still above freezing in the Fox Valley and
Lakeshore areas south of Sturgeon Bay, but falling temperatures
will result in freezing conditions by early evening. Untreated
roads and sidewalks could become ice covered and slippery this
evening as wet surfaces freeze.

Fog will also drop visibilities to less than a mile at times,
especially over central and east central Wisconsin this evening.

Motorists should use caution tonight, as untreated surfaces,
bridges and overpasses may be ice covered and hazardous.

... Slippery roads possible tonight...

Untreated roads and sidewalks could become slippery this evening
as wet surfaces refreeze overnight.

Freezing fog is also possible tonight, starting in central
Wisconsin and spreading over portions of the Fox Valley. This will
limit visibility as well as create isolated slick surfaces.

Take care traveling during the late evening and overnight hours,
especially on untreated surfaces.
