Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:44 AM MST Nov. 17, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 PM MST this
afternoon...

* what... snow. Plan on slippery Road conditions across the Major
Mountain passes including Logan Summit, Parleys Summit and
Sardine Summit. Total snow accumulation of 6 to 8 inches, with
localized amounts up to 12 inches, is expected.

* Where... Wasatch mountains I-80 north, Wasatch mountains south
of I-80 and western Uinta Mountains.

* When... until 5 PM MST Friday. Periods of heavy snow are
expected Friday morning. Snow will turn showery Friday
afternoon then taper off by early in the evening.

* Additional details... snow levels will continue lower to below
6500 feet across all areas by around midday today. Winter
driving conditions will impact travel across all mountain routes
in these areas late by late this morning through this afternoon. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
