may become hazardous for construction workers, especially
those located above 33 feet where wind speeds will be even

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a red
flag warning, which is in effect from 11 am to 7 PM CST today. A
Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch
is in effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
* Timing... from 11 am CST today through 7 PM CST today and again
Friday morning through Friday afternoon.
* Wind... west to northwest 30 to 45 mph with gusts from 50 to 55
mph expected today, and 25 to 35 mph Friday.
* Humidity... falling to between 25 and 30 percent over the brush
country and inland coastal Bend and 30 to 40 percent over the
northern coastal Bend. Falling to 20 to 30 percent on Friday.
* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior. Residents are urged to
exercise care with respect to all outdoor activities that could
inadvertently cause wildfires. Report wildfires quickly to the
nearest Fire Department or law enforcement office.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
