... Red flag warning remains in effect until midnight MDT tonight
for low relative humidity and gusty winds for fire weather zones
259 through 264... and 297 through 299...

* affected area... fire weather zones 259... 260... 261... 262...
263... 264... 297... 298 and 299.

* Winds... southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph becoming
northwest 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph during the
evening and overnight hours.

* Relative humidity... as low as 15 percent late this afternoon and
early evening.

* Temperatures... 70s and lower 80s this afternoon, dropping into
the 60s during the evening.

* Impacts... the combination of gusty winds and low relative
humidity will produce critical fire weather conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
