Flash Flood Watch

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from noon MDT /11 am PDT/
today through this evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Idaho and Oregon, including the
following areas, in southwest Idaho, Owyhee Mountains and
southwest Highlands. In Oregon, Baker County, Harney County,
and Malheur County.

* From noon MDT /11 am PDT/ today through this evening.

* Heavy rain showers and thunderstorms are expected with light
winds aloft. With the slow storm movement, significant rains
are possible under the cores of these showers and storms.

* Areas most prone to flash flooding include small creeks and
streams in steep terrain, wildfire burn scars, and normally
dry washes. Rock slides and debris/water flows over roadways
are possible in these areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
