Flood Warning
Issued: 10:25 AM EST Feb. 25, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Cincinnati
* until further notice.
* At 10 am the stage was 60.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 52 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river will rise to near 60.7 feet by this evening.The river will
then begin falling, but remain above flood stage for the next 5 days.
* At stages near 61 feet, flooding worsens in the east end, as well as
along the riverfront. Increasing numbers of homes and businesses in New
Richmond are flooded. Pete rose way remains flooded and Kellogg Road
flooding worsens. Homes and businesses in the east end and California
are significantly flooded. Much of Route 52 continues to flood
between Cincinnati and New Richmond. Backwater flooding up the Little
Miami river affects Anderson township up to Newtown. Low-lying roads
in Newport, Ludlow and Bromley, Kentucky flood, as well as portions of
Lawrenceburg outside the flood wall, as well as in Aurora, Indiana.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Ohio River at Meldahl dam
* until Friday morning.
* At 9 am the stage was 55.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 51 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* The river will continue rising to near 55.9 feet by this evening. The
river will fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
* At stages near 55.0 feet, the Village of Neville, Ohio begins to
experience lowland flooding, while backwater flooding along creeks and
streams results in lowland flooding along the river. Route 52 becomes
cut off in southern Clermont County at Bear Creek and Maple Creek near
Neville.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Little Miami river at Milford
* until this evening.
* At 8 am the stage was 20.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by late this
afternoon.
* At stages near 20 feet, lowland flooding continues in portions of
Clermont and Hamilton counties, particularly in low areas of Milford
and Terrace Park. Flooding continues along portions of Round Bottom
Road in Anderson township.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Little Miami river at Kings Mills
* until this afternoon.
* At 8 am the stage was 21.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by late this
morning.
* At stages near 22 feet, low-lying roads are affected in South
Lebanon including south main and McKinley streets and King Avenue.
Some homes near the river incur basement flooding in South Lebanon.
Lowland flooding can be expected elsewhere in Warren County near the
Little Miami river including Mason-Morrow-Millgrove Road.

Clinton County in southwestern Ohio...
Greene County in west central Ohio...
Highland County in south central Ohio...
southeastern Montgomery County in west central Ohio...

* until 315 PM EST.

* At 1047 am EST, minor flooding was still being reported across
parts of the area due to the heavy rain last night.

* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will continue to occur. In addition, farmland near
creeks, streams and drainage ditches will continue to experience
minor flooding.

Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Dayton, Kettering, Middletown, Beavercreek, Fairborn, Mason, Xenia,
Miamisburg, Lebanon, Springboro, Washington Court House, Wilmington,
Monroe, Loveland, Franklin, Bellbrook, Milford, Hillsboro, Moraine
and Carlisle.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
