... Kcxx radar outage...

The kcxx weather radar (wsr-88d) used by the National Weather
Service office in Burlington, VT will be down for approximately
four days for technicians to install an important technological
upgrade. The work on the WSR-88D has been scheduled to minimize
any potential impacts to office operations and will be delayed if
hazardous weather if forecast.

The WSR-88D at Burlington, VT (kcxx) will be unavailable from
today, Tuesday may 23, 2017 through Friday may 26, 2017.

During the outage, radar coverage is available from adjacent
radar sites including Montague, Albany, and Buffalo, NY and Gray
ME.

A new signal processor will be installed, which replaces obsolete
technology, improves processing speed and data quality, provides
added functionality, and supports it security.
