Flood Warning, Areal Flood Warning
Issued: 8:25 PM MDT Apr. 23, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the milk river at Nashua.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 19.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by midnight and continue
to rise to near 21.2 feet by Saturday early morning. Additional
rises are possible thereafter.

* impact... at 20.0 feet... this is flood stage. Low land flooding will
begin.

The Flood Warning continues for
the milk river at Glasgow.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 28.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to rise to 29.8 feet by Monday April 30th.

* impact... at 30.0 feet... flood waters will begin to cover 6th Avenue
South West of the river. Storm drainage valves along Glasgow levee
will back-flood into the Southside of Glasgow if not closed.
Flooding begins on rahlf Lane off of Highway 24. Water reaches the
base of the Sullivan Park sign in Sullivan Park.

The Flood Warning continues for
the milk river at Tampico.
* At 7:30 PM Monday the stage was 26.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to rise to near 27.0 feet on Sunday.

* impact... at 28.5 feet... power substation between the milk river and
Tampico Road will begin to flood.

the milk river at Saco.
* At 7:46 PM Monday the stage was 24.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will begin falling slowly on Wednesday.

... A Flood Warning for small streams for snowmelt remains in effect
until 330 am MDT Tuesday for east central Phillips and western valley
counties...

At 1150 am MDT, the Beaver Creek south of Saco has started to drop,
and The Levels have dropped significantly on the Larb creek.

Flood waters on the Beaver Creek will continue to diminish through
Tuesday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
