Winter Storm Warning
Issued: 9:32 AM MST Feb. 17, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 5 am MST Monday...

* what... heavy snow and blowing snow occurring along the
Continental Divide expected to expand east across north central
Montana this afternoon and evening. Total snow accumulations of
6 to 9 inches, with 9 to 14 inches west of intestate 15 to the
Rocky Mountain front. Localized amounts up to 2 feet across the
mountains of the Rocky Mountain front.

* Where... portions of central and north central Montana.

* When... until 5 am MST Monday.

* Additional details... plan on difficult travel conditions. Winds
gusting as high as 30 mph already causing areas of blowing and
drifting snow near the Continental Divide will expand east
across the plains tonight. The dangerously cold wind chills as
low as 35 below zero on Sunday could cause frostbite on exposed
skin in as little as 10 minutes.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow and blowing snow means severe
winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or
