The Flood Warning continues for
the shields river near Livingston affecting Park County.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 11 am Saturday the stage was 4.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.5 feet.
* Forecast... the river will fluctuate near flood stage this weekend.
Additional rises are possible into early next week, should
excessive rainfall develop from thunderstorms.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Yellowstone river near Livingston affecting park and Sweet Grass
counties.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 12 PM Saturday the stage was 9.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue. Moderate
flooding could occur Sunday and Monday, should excessive rainfall
develop from thunderstorms over the weekend.

The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
snowmelt in...
northwestern Gallatin County in south central Montana...

* until 1015 PM MDT Thursday.

* Snowmelt will cause continued rises along the Gallatin river
through early next week, with flooding along the river lingering
into mid to late next week.

* Point forecast for the Gallatin river at Logan.
    * At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 8.9 feet.
    * Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
    * Minor flooding is forecast.
    * Forecast... rise above flood stage by early Sunday morning and
      continue to rise to near 9.6 feet by Tuesday evening.
    * Impacts... low lying fields near the river may begin to flood.
      Some smaller roads and bridges may also be impacted.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Those planning to recreate on or near the Gallatin river over
Memorial Day weekend are encouraged to be mindful of fast flows,
higher water levels, and cold water temperatures.

Those not experiencing flooding now, may begin to see flooding by
this weekend or early next week.

south central Broadwater County in southwestern Montana...
northern Madison County in southwestern Montana...
southeastern Jefferson County in southwestern Montana...
northwestern Gallatin County in south central Montana...

* until 145 am MDT Friday.

* Snowmelt will cause continued rises along the Jefferson river
through early next week, with flooding lingering into late next week
or longer.

* Point forecast for the Jefferson river near Three Forks.
    * At 10:00 am Saturday the stage was 8.3 feet.
    * Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
    * Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
    * Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 8.4 feet by
      Saturday evening, with additional rises to near 8.5 by Wednesday.
    * Impacts... at 8.5 feet, County roads and bridges and some homes
      around Three Forks may be impacted by flood waters.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Flood Warning for...
Clark Fork river near plains in...
south central Sanders County in northwestern Montana...

* until further notice.

* At 8:45 am Wednesday the stage was 15.7 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage by Thursday
morning, and will continue to rise to near 17.0 feet by Monday
evening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
