Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:07 PM CST Feb. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 am CST
Saturday...

* what... mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations of one to three inches are expected generally
along and north of a line from Greenville Missouri to Greenville
Kentucky. Farther south, ice accumulations averaging from one
to two tenths of an inch are expected.

* Where... southwest Indiana, southeast Missouri, western
Kentucky and southern Illinois.

* When... though 3 am CST Saturday. Wintry precipitation transition
from southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and far western
Kentucky this afternoon eastward across the rest of the region
early this evening. The precipitation may mix with plain rain at
onset over portions of western Kentucky.

* Additional details... plan on slippery Road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the afternoon and evening
commute home from school and work. Travel conditions will
deteriorate during evening. Bridges, elevated surfaces, and
untreated roadways will tend to freeze first. Remember, even
very small amounts of ice can produce very dangerous driving
conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Flood Warning
Issued: 8:44 PM CST Feb. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Tiptonville
* until Thursday February 28.
* At 8 PM Friday the stage was 38.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Maximum forecast stage of 42.0 feet on Tuesday February 19.
* Flood stage is 37.0 feet.
* The river rose above flood stage Wednesday February 13 and will
continue rising to near 42.0 feet by Tuesday February 19. The river
will fall below flood stage Thursday February 28.
* At 42.0 feet... in Tennessee, Pea Ridge Road is flooding. Lane to
Homestead northwest of Pea Ridge Road just by the river is
flooding. Water begins to go over the Tennemo levee.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at New Madrid
* until further notice.
* At 8:00 PM Friday the stage was 37.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 34.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 40.0 feet by
Tuesday afternoon then begin a slow fall.
* Impact... at 38.0 feet... heavy agricultural damage begins.
