Winter Storm Warning, Winter Weather Advisory

... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9 PM this evening to 6 PM
CST Sunday...

* what... heavy snow and mixed precipitation expected. Light snow,
mixed with freezing rain into this evening will give way to a
period of heavy snow tonight into Sunday. Total snow
accumulations of 7 to 12 inches are expected, with the lower
amounts east of Iron Mountain due to a potential of mixed snow,
sleet and freezing rain. In these areas, ice accumulations of up
to one tenth of an inch are expected. Strong northwest winds
will develop Sunday, gusting as high as 40 to 45 mph Sunday
afternoon into Sunday evening.

* Where... Iron and Dickinson counties.

* When... for the Winter Storm Warning, from 9 PM this evening to
6 PM CST Sunday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 PM
CST this evening.

* Additional details... travel could be very difficult. Areas of
blowing snow Sunday afternoon into early Sunday evening could
significantly reduce visibility.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet
and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
