* At 705 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Kennebunk, or
7 miles south of Biddeford, moving northeast at 55 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Biddeford, Saco, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Wells, Old Orchard Beach
and Arundel.

This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 20 and 30.

* At 548 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to an inch of rain has fallen in a short
amount of time and more is possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Portland, South Portland, Brunswick, Westbrook, Conway, Bath,
Bridgton, Fryeburg, Naples, Topsham, Cumberland, Saco, Gorham,

... A line of strong thunderstorms will affect eastern York...
southeastern Cumberland and east central Rockingham counties...

At 657 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 6 miles north of Gorham to near
Portsmouth. Movement was east at 55 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Portland, South Portland, Biddeford, Portsmouth, Westbrook, Kittery,
Cumberland, Saco, Gorham, Falmouth, Kennebunk, Cape Elizabeth,
Buxton, Freeport, Kennebunkport, Scarborough, York, Rye, Old Orchard
Beach and Wells.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 295 between mile markers 1 and 18.
Interstate 95 between mile markers 2 and 58.

This also includes...
York Beach, Ogunquit Beach, Wells Beach, fortunes Rock Beach, and
Higgins Beach.
Peaks Island, Long Island, Cushing Island, Cousins Island, and
Great Diamond Island.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
