The National Weather Service in Jackson KY has issued a

* flood advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas for...
northwestern Laurel County in south central Kentucky...
Pulaski County in south central Kentucky...
southern Rockcastle County in south central Kentucky...

* until 245 am EDT.

* At 1151 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms moving across the advisory area. This likely will
cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result
in minor flooding in the advisory area. One to two inches of rain
has fallen across the advisory are since Friday afternoon with an
additional one to two inches possible across the advisory area
through 130 am EDT on Saturday.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Somerset, Mount Vernon, Science Hill, Cains store, Bandy,
Woodstock, Spiro, wabp, Hansford, Dabney, Willailla and Hogue.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate Route.
