... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this

* what... snow and blowing snow occurring. Plan on slippery Road
conditions. Localized visibility reductions under one-half mile
remain possible. Additional snow accumulation will average under
1 inch.

* Where... in Kansas, Jewell and Mitchell counties. In Nebraska,
Thayer County.

* When... until 6 PM CST this evening.

* Additional details... sustained north-northwest winds of 30 to 40
mph with gusts to over 45 mph will result in near-whiteout
conditions this afternoon. Drifting of the snow is likely. Wind
speeds will gradually subside this evening, with gusts
decreasing into the 20 to 35 mph range by 9 PM, and 15 to 25 mph
range by midnight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
