Flood Warning
Issued: 10:56 PM EST Feb. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Spencer.
* From late Wednesday night until further notice.
* At 10:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 8.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
to rise to near 16.9 feet by Saturday evening.
* At 17.0 feet... a few Mobile homes located downstream of Spencer are
isolated because their driveway lanes flood. County line Road on
north side of river has one foot of water and begins to flood in a
second place. Spencer public access extensively floods. North
moon Road in very rural northwest Monroe County is flooded by the
White River.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River below Eagle Valley Power Plant.
* From Friday evening to late Saturday night.
* Flood stage is 603.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 603.1
feet early Saturday morning.
* At 603.0 feet... low agricultural fields begin to flood.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River near Centerton.
* From Friday morning to Sunday morning.
* At 10:00 PM Tuesday the stage was 6.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Friday morning and continue to
rise to near 12.4 feet by early Saturday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by Saturday before midnight.
* At 12.4 feet... Road just north of Blue Bluff bridge has about six
inches of water on it.

* portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, North
Central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard,
Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In
east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In North
Central Indiana, Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown,
Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings.
In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery,
Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren.

* Until 7 am EST this morning

* periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected across the area
early this morning.


* This rain will cause flooding of some area rivers and may
cause flooding of streams and low lying areas.

current forecasts.
