Flood Warning

The Flood Warning continues for
The Wildcat creek near Lafayette.
* Until Monday afternoon.
* At 10:45 PM Thursday the stage was 10.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the creek will fall through Friday, then briefly go
slightly above flood stage Sunday morning.
* At 10.0 feet... flooding of lowland areas in progress in portions
of Tippecanoe County.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Wabash River at Lafayette.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:46 PM Thursday the stage was 22.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 20.0 feet
by Saturday morning.
* At 22.0 feet... extensive flooding is in progress. Flood waters block
direct access to Wabash valley hospital. During agricultural
season extensive crop damage occurs. Roads that flood include N
river Rd, sr 225 south of battleground, stair Road, Barton beach
Rd, division Rd and CR 700 W at the Granville bridge public access
site and CR 950 W. Pretty Prairie Rd near moots creek and lowest
portion of Goldsberry Rd likely flood. Basement flooding along N
River Road, N 9th street and Barton beach Rd begins.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river near Delphi.
* Until further notice.
* At 10:30 PM Thursday the stage was 12.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 11.8 feet
by Saturday morning.
* At 13.0 feet... extensive flooding in progress with some evacuations
and property damage. Many low local roads near the Tippecanoe
river are flooded at this level. Approaching major flood levels.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river at Oakdale dam at Lake Freeman near Yeoman.
* At 11:05 PM Thursday the flow was 20110 cfs.
* Flood stage is 13000 cfs.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Tuesday morning.
* At 22000 cfs... major to near record flooding along the Tippecanoe
river with flows from Oakdale dam in excess of 22,000 cubic feet
per second. Evacuation of many people downstream of Oakdale dam in
flood prone areas is necessary. Flooding closes many local roads
including some that are covered by more than a foot of water.
Substantial property damage downstream of Oakdale dam. Flooded
areas may include Horseshoe Bend and Camp Tecumseh downstream of
Oakdale dam.
