The Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river at Norway dam
* until further notice.
* Major flooding is occurring.
* At 415 am Wednesday the flow was around 22000 cfs and fluctuating.
* Flood flow is 13000 cfs.
* Forecast... additional rises are possible.

the Flood Warning has been extended for
the Tippecanoe river above Winamac
* until further notice.
* At 4 am Wednesday the stage was 9.9 feet and rising.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage early Wednesday
morning and crest near 13.2 feet around 7 am Saturday February 24.
Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* At 13.0 feet... major flooding is in progress.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.7 feet which occurred
on Jun 4 2013.

... Forecast flooding increased from moderate to major severity...
the Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river near Delphi.* At 2:30 am Wednesday the stage
was 13.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 15.4 feet by
after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon.
* At 15.0 feet... major flooding in progress. Evacuation of many
people downstream of Oakdale dam. Roads along both sides of the
river are flooded, some by more than a foot deep. Substantial
property damage downstream of Oakdale dam. Flooded areas include
Horseshoe Bend, Tippecanoe ranch and Tecumseh Bend roads, CR 1275 W
north of bicycle bridge Rd, extreme west end of CR 975 N and low
part of Goldsberry Rd. Residents park cars on High Ground.
Flooding affects numerous residential and recreational areas along
the river.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Tippecanoe river at Oakdale dam at Lake Freeman near Yeoman.* At
1:30 am Wednesday the flow was 23749 cfs.
* Flood stage is 13000 cfs.
* Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue rising to near 28040 cfs by
after midnight tomorrow. The river will fall below flood stage
Saturday afternoon.
* At 30000 cfs... all residents south of Oakdale dam may need to
evacuate.

* Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams in...
White County in northwestern Indiana...
Fulton County in North Central Indiana...
Pulaski County in northwestern Indiana...
southern Kosciusko County in North Central Indiana...
Cass County in North Central Indiana...
northwestern Miami County in North Central Indiana...
southern Marshall County in North Central Indiana...

* until 100 am EST Friday/midnight CST Friday/

* trained weather spotters reported heavy rain falling that was
   causing flooding of low lying areas with multiple Road closures
   reported. Widespread two to five inches of rain have already
   fallen with an additional inch of rain likely before ending.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Logansport, Rochester, Monticello, Winona Lake, Winamac, Monon,
Brookston, Akron, Pierceton, Wolcott, Mentone, Francesville, Royal
Center, Medaryville, Pulaski, Walnut, Ripley, Kewanna, Reynolds and
Chalmers.

* Numerous roads are closed due to high water within the warning
area. Nearly all streams... creeks and rivers are in flood or will
flood, some may reach record levels. Anyone living in a low lying
area or locations prone to flooding should move to higher ground
if you have not already done so. Be prepared for high water on
roads and do not attempt to drive through these areas. Find
alternate routes and stay on main roads if possible. Flooding is
difficult to see at night! Flood waters will be slow to recede and
it may take several days in some locations.

* Major flooding is expected along the Tippecanoe river, including
downstream of Norway dam. Please monitor river conditions and
warnings for area rivers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
