Strong west to northwest winds are expected to develop after a
cold frontal passage later Saturday night and Sunday. Sustained
winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected, and
could possibly be stronger on Sunday north of I-72. High winds
could bring down trees branches and power lines. Light weight
objects such as trash cans and deck furniture should be secured.
Use extreme caution while driving, especially when crossing
bridges and overpasses. High profile vehicles should take caution
if traveling across the area on Sunday, especially on north to
south highways like I-55 and I-57.
