... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 am CDT Wednesday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Illinois... Iowa and northeast Missouri... including
the following areas... in Illinois... Hancock... Henderson...
Henry IL... McDonough... Mercer... Rock Island and Warren. In
Iowa... Benton... Cedar... Des Moines... Henry IA... Iowa...
Jefferson... Johnson... Keokuk... Lee... Linn... Louisa...
Muscatine... Scott... Van Buren and Washington. In northeast
Missouri... Clark and Scotland.

* Until 7 am CDT Wednesday

* scattered thunderstorms with locally heavy rain are expected
tonight. Many locations in the watch area have already received
1 to 2 inches of rain... or higher... in the past day with soils
near saturation.

* Storms will be capable of producing very high rainfall rates.
Locations impacted by intense storms or multiple rounds could
receive an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain... with isolated
amounts of 3 to 4 inches possible. Flash flooding will be
possible... especially in urban areas and near rain swollen
creeks.

Monitor forecasts and take action if flash flood warnings are
issued or flash flooding develops.
