... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Sunday evening for gusty winds and low relative humidity for east
Idaho fire weather zones 410 and 425...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Sunday afternoon through
Sunday evening.

* Affected area... Arco desert region of fire weather zone 410.
Fire weather zone 425.

* Wind... southwest to west winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30
mph.

* Humidity... minimum 9 to 15 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended. Do not use fireworks. Engine
heat from vehicles can spark wildfires, especially in grasses.
Do not park on or drive over grassy areas or throw cigarettes
out of cars.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 9 PM MDT this evening
for gusty winds and low relative humidity for east Idaho fire
weather zones 422, 475, and 476...

* affected area... southeast Idaho fire weather zones 422, 475
and 476.

* Wind... west southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 30
mph. At mid and upper slopes... southwest 20 to 25 mph with
gusts around 35 mph.

* Humidity... minimum 7 to 16 percent for zones 475 and 476...
and 11 to 18 percent for zone 422.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.

heat from vehicles can spark wildfires, especially in grasses.
Do not park on or drive over grassy areas or throw cigarettes
out of cars.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. Fires may experience
rapid rates of growth. Please advise the appropriate officials or
fire crews in the field of the red flag warning for portions of
southeast Idaho.
