The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Howard County in northeastern Iowa...

* until 1215 PM CDT

* at 921 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly. More thunderstorms are moving into this area as
well.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cresco, Riceville, Elma, Lime Springs, Protivin, and Chester.

through Saturday morning...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, and
Wisconsin, including the following areas, in northeast Iowa,
Allamakee, Clayton, Howard, and Winneshiek. In southeast
Minnesota, Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Wabasha,
and Winona. In Wisconsin, Adams, Buffalo, Crawford, Grant,
Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Richland, Trempealeau, and
Vernon.

* From noon CDT today through Saturday morning

* heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible.

* Impacts could include flash flooding, additional Road
washouts, rock and mud slides, and river flooding.
