Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:49 AM EDT Sep. 23, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EDT this
evening...

* coastal flooding... minor flooding will continue along portions
of the St Johns River and its tributaries from Jacksonville
southward to Palatka around the times of high tide. South of
Palatka... toward Welaka and the Ocklawaha river basin... minor
to near moderate river flooding will continue around times of
high Tide. Water levels will be slow to recede within the St
Johns River basin this weekend as northeasterly winds
strengthen.

* Timing... minor to moderate flooding will continue through at
least Saturday evening... peaking around the times of high
tide.

* Impacts... elevated tide levels will cause minor flooding of
low areas along the St Johns River and its tributaries which
will flood... mainly Parks... campgrounds... .normally flood
prone roadways and some docks and boat ramps.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that higher than normal tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the St Johns
River and its tributaries.
