Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 1:52 AM MDT May. 25, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning in effect from 10 am to 10 PM MDT Saturday
for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels for fire
weather zone 205 below 7500 feet...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a red
flag warning below 7500 feet for wind and low relative humidity,
which is in effect from 10 am to 10 PM MDT Saturday. The Fire
Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* Affected area... in Colorado, fire weather zone 205 Colorado
River headwaters below 7500 feet.

* Winds... southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Relative humidity... 7 to 12 percent.

* Impacts... new fire starts may be difficult or impossible to
control due to fast rates of spread. Outdoor burning is
strongly discouraged.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
