El Dorado County in northern California...

Sierra County in northern California...
Nevada County in northern California...
southern Washoe County in western Nevada...
Douglas County in western Nevada...
western Carson City in western Nevada...

* until 830 PM PDT Wednesday

* one more day of well above normal temperatures Tuesday will result
in continued high flows and minor flooding near unregulated creeks
and streams leading out of the Sierra.

* High temperatures will drop to near normal Wednesday. This should
reduce flows and ease any minor flooding concerns through at least
midday Thursday. Temperatures will begin to rebound late this week
and climb well above normal again by the weekend, resulting in
renewed high flows and minor flooding potential.

* Daily peak flows on small creeks and streams typically occur
during the evening and overnight hours.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Creeks and streams will run fast and very cold, bringing the risk of
hypothermia for those without protective gear.
