... Excessive heat warning in effect from 10 am Monday to 8 PM PDT
The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued an excessive
heat warning... which is in effect from 10 am Monday to 8 PM PDT
Thursday. The excessive heat watch is no longer in effect.
* Temperature... high temperatures during the peak of the heat on
Tuesday and Wednesday in the mid 90s to 105.
* Impacts... a prolonged period of very hot days combined with very
warm nights is expected to create a dangerous situation in which
heat illnesses are possible.
Take extra precautions... if you work or spend time outside. When
possible... reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water.
Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
