morning to 8 PM PDT Tuesday...
* temperatures... highs from 97 to 105. Overnight lows from 65 to
75 except around 80 in the hills.
* Winds... northeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph today and
20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph Tuesday before gradually
weakening into Wednesday.
* Impacts... the very high temperatures create a dangerous
situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Temperatures
inside vehicles, even if the windows are partially open, can
quickly rise to life-threatening levels. Gusty winds could
create travel difficulty for high profile vehicles.
Take extra precautions Monday through Tuesday if you work or
spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous
activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and
symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight
and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of
water. Never, ever, leave people or pets in enclosed vehicles,
even for a short period of time.
When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty

of Los Angeles and Ventura counties due to gusty Santa Ana
winds and hot and dry conditions...
* winds... areas of northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts 40 to
50 mph through Tuesday... then weakening through Wednesday.
Isolated gusts to 60 mph possible on Tuesday.
* Relative humidity... minimum humidities between 5 and 10
percent through Wednesday. Very poor humidity recoveries
expected each night.
* Temperatures... maximums between 95 and 105. Minimums between 65
and 75 except 75 to 85 in the hills.
* Impacts... if fire ignition occurs, conditions are favorable for
extreme fire behavior and spread which would threaten life and
