Excessive Heat Watch

... Excessive heat watch remains in effect from Friday afternoon
through Sunday evening...

* temperature... 100 to 108 degrees.

* Impacts... heat-related illnesses (including heat exhaustion
and heat stroke) are possible to humans, pets, and livestock
with long outdoor exposure.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An excessive heat watch means that a prolonged period of hot
temperatures is expected and will create a dangerous situation in
which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay
in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on
relatives and neighbors.

Fire Weather Watch

... Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Saturday morning
through Sunday morning for gusty northerly winds and low humidity
for fire weather zones 213, 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 263,
264, 266, 267, and 279...

* affected areas... portions of the Central Valley and surrounding
foothills.

* Wind... north winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph.

* Humidity... afternoon minimum humidities as low as 8-12 percent
and areas of very poor overnight recovery.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
