... The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Coconino County will expire at
400 PM MST...

the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will
be allowed to expire. However, hail is still possible storms in the
vicinity of Route 180 northwest of Flagstaff and additional warning
may become necessary.

Flash Flood Warning
Issued: 3:33 PM MDT Jul. 21, 2018 – National Weather Service

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 430 PM MST for
Coconino County...

At 327 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rainfall had ended
over the warning area, from near hermits rest westward 10
miles. Flash flooding is still possible

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
remote areas of the Grand Canyon from near hermits rest to 10 miles
west of hermits rest.

This includes the following streams and drainages... shinumo creek...
hermit creek... Pasture Wash... Coconino wash... Tuna creek... Royal Arch
creek... boucher creek... Crystal creek... prairie wash... havasu
creek.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* until 600 PM MST

* at 331 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain... in excess of 1.5 inches in
under an hour... across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected
to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Highway 180 northwest of Flagstaff.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Cedar Wash...
Schultz creek... Miller Wash... Deadman Wash and volunteer wash.

This includes Highway 180 between mile markers 223 and 243.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
