The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Navajo County in north central Arizona...
Coconino County in north central Arizona...

* until 715 PM MST

* at 320 PM MST, automated river gauges in Jacks Canyon, southwest
of Winslow, indicated a 10.3 foot rise. Similar water levels are
moving down Clear Creek and chevelon creek toward Winslow. Flood
waters will reach the Little Colorado River in Winslow shorty and
will move downstream, near North Park Road. Stay away from
waterways, flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Winslow, Chevelon Butte and homolovi State Park campground.

This includes the following streams and drainages... Clear Creek...
Sand Draw... Black Canyon... Chevelon Canyon... Little Colorado
River... Jacks Canyon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
