Discussion...
wind speeds continue to slowly diminish, but low clouds in no
hurry to clear out across far eastern OK and much of western Arkansas
this evening. As such have trended the forecast a bit more
pessimistic regarding cloud cover, but in any case a cold night in
store with wind chills likely reaching single digits in some
areas for a few hours eastern Sunday morning. Updated forecast
will be out shortly.

Discussion...
bulk of snowfall from earlier today fell across portions of
Leflore, Sebastian and southern Franklin counties where a band of
2"-5" snows was reported. Snow has ended early this afternoon,
with the upper cyclone lifting east of the region.

Surface winds will gradually diminish into the overnight hours as
the surface ridge axis settles in. Overnight lows will range from
the lower teens to near 20, with Sunday morning wind chill values
in the single digits. Sunday temperatures should bounce back into
the upper 30s/mid 40s...although lingering snowfield will temper
readings some.

The warm up will persist into Monday, with breezy south winds
developing ahead of the next upper system. Rain chances will
increase by Tuesday, and could see a brief period of light wintry
weather Tuesday night across parts of far northeast OK/northwest
Arkansas before the precipitation ends.

Longer range models continue to suggest another shot of Arctic air
for late in the week and into the weekend.
